GENÇ ERİŞKİN TÜRK BİREYLERDE OKLUZYON DÜZLEMİNİN ANATOMİK REFERANS DÜZLEMLERLE İLİŞKİSİ

THE RELATIONSHIP OF THE PLANE OF OCCLUSION TO ANATOMIC REFERENCE PLANES IN TURKISH YOUNG ADULTS

Journal Name:

Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
According to many investigators, anteriorly, the plane of occlusion should be located in accordance with the relation of lips and its proper esthetic positions. However, different explanations are suggested about inclination and finishing line of this plane at posterior region. In this study, the relation cfthe occlusal plane to the planes of Frankfurt Horizontal, Ala-mid Tragus and Camper, is analysed by using lateral cephalometric radiographs in the sample consisted of 50 dentulous Turkish young adults. Re suits are compared with different ethic groups. At the end of this study, it is determined that the relation of the occlusal plane to anatomic reference planes varies in accordance with sex and difference ethnic groups
