Product placement exists in the 1920's when tobacco companies began to place their products into movies. This is the very begining of product placement which is used for provacating smoking and increasing in tobacco sale. The aim of this study is to research how product placement of tobacco appears in Turkish movies and to compare it with Hollywood movies. The importance of this study is to demonstrate the relation between movies and tobacco.
