For centuries, societies replace themselves with the development of the technologies. Now they are in the process of the Information Society. The information concept that is increasing with sharing penetrates every field of our daily life by means of information technologies. One of the indicators of this is the usage of information intensively in relations with government. The e-government concept that emerged in last years is one of the latest concepts in this context. In this study, e-government concept and the position of Turkey according to other countries and finally what must he done to he successful in this field, are discussed.
