Abstract (2. Language):
Point of view is an important part of a novel's structure. As such, in adaptation of literary work into film it constitutes a major challenge for the director. This paper lays out different point of views encountered in the novel and discusses limits and potentials of director in adaptation. Flexibility of using a narrator in the novel is hard to reach with film camera. Camera is intrinsically objective and more or less fixed at a place. Yet, by using different tools, such as voice over, mise-en-scene, camera filters, lights, etc., film could be able to get over these difficulties.
