Abstract (2. Language):
Freedom of press is an indispensable elemeni of contemporary democracies. The objective of the press should be maintaining the diffusion of democracy, expressing the problems of people independently and publicizing the events objectively. Considering the freedom of press as a whole today, the freedom of not only the journalists but also everybody having the right of getting information should he regarded. Apart from the concept of the freedom of press, the conditions, which are necessary to talk about the existence of this concept are studied in this article.
