Abstract (2. Language):
As a pro-social behavior, whistleblowing come to the front after some ethical problems and some related ethical issues. Especially, in the last century, there are a lot of ethical scandals, global crisis, improprieties and negligences occured. Therefore, organizations need to establish some new forms and organs to have a sustainability. Whistleblowing can be defined as revealing non-ethical events or behaviors (like producing harmful foods even though marketing them as they are remedial) in a management system. This revelation is made by people working in the management or by the stakeholders. Whistleblowing is a treatment which relies on voluntarism. Because it includes many risks and threats, workers are afraid of bringing out behaviors which are illegal and non-ethical. So, conscience and virtue are very important in this theme. There are a lot of studies being done on this subject. But, in Turkey, there are so few studies on this concept. Further, this concept isn’t well understood yet in our country. So, in this study the aim is to investigate the impact of whistleblowing on ethical climate. In additon, the mobbing is entered to the model as moderator. Results indicate that whistleblowing has a direct and positive effect on ethical climate. Also, when mobbing is perceived to be high, the effect of whistleblowing on ethical climate weakened.
