Abstract (2. Language):
Mehmet Akif had lived at the late Ottoman period and performed
many activities as an intellectual and man of action through the painful era which
resulted in the collapse of the Empire. Mehmet Akif had actively involved in the
process of the Turkish National Struggle which had resulted in the establishment
of Republic of Turkey and had written the Turkish National Anthem. He is also a
prominent figure of our intellectual life. In this article, based on Akif's poems and
articles, his religious thoughts, Kur'an, unity (vahdet), dissension (tefrika),
fatality (kader), and reliance (tevekkül), in short his islamic edifice will be
evaluated.

Mehmet Akif, Osmanlı devletinin son dönemlerini yaşamış ve bu
devletin yıkılışına doğru giden sancılı dönemde bir fikir ve eylem adamı olarak
birçok faaliyette bulunmuştur. Türkiye Cumhuriyetinin kuruşuyla neticelenen
Milli Mücadelede aktif olarak rol alan ve kurulan yeni devletin İstiklal Marşını
kaleme alan Mehmet Akif Ersoy aynı zamanda fikir dünyamızın da önemli bir
şahsiyetidir. Bu makalemizde Akif’in şiir ve makalelerinden hareketle onun dini
düşüncesini, Kur’an, vahdet, tefrika, kader ve tevekkül hakkındaki görüşlerini
kısaca onun İslam tasavvurunu ele alacağız.
