Abstract (2. Language): 
This study examines the developments in Turkey’s trade concentration over the period between 1980 and 2005. The main objective of the work is to analyze whether the 1980 trade liberalization program and the 1996 Customs Union Agreement had any effect on concentration of Turkey’s exports and imports. We use Gini-Hirschman concentration index to evaluate the changes in both product and country concentration of Turkey’s foreign trade. Our results suggest that there have been remarkable changes in export concentration of Turkey particularly at the beginning of the 1980’s. We also find that after implementation of the1996 Customs Union Agreement, the structure of Turkey’s export concentration changed dramatically, while there were only minor adjustments in concentration of imports.

Bu çalismada 1980–2005 döneminde Türkiye dis ticaretinde ürün bazli yogunlasmada ortaya çikan gelismeler incelenmistir. Çalismanin temel amaci, 1980 dis ticaret serbestis i programi ve 1996 Gümrük Birligi Antlasmasinin Türkiye’nin ihracat ve ithalatinin ürün çesitliligi üzerindeki muhtemel etkilerini analiz etmektir. Türkiye dis ticaretinde ürün ve ülke bazli yogunlasmada yasanan degisimi degerlendirmede Gini-Hirschman yogunlasma indeks i kullanilmistir. Elde ettigimiz sonuçlara göre, özellikle 1980’li yi llarin baslarinda Türkiye ihracatinin ürün çesitliliginde önemli degis iklikler ortaya çikmistir. Ayrica, Gümrük Birligi Antlasmasinin 1996’da yürürlüge girmesiyle, Türkiye ithalatinin ürün dagi liminda sadece küçük bir degis im yasanirken ihracatin yapisinda çok önemli degisiklikler yasanmistir.
