Abstract (2. Language): 
The aim of this study is to analyse the background of globalization, the problems and questions which resulted from it. Especially in last decade the appearence of globalization in the areas such as culture, communication and finance, brought into agenda many quest ionmarks and problems in terms of sociology. Many new questions are being added to the debates relating to sovereignly, the future of national culture and nation-state, the problems that civilization will face and so on. It should be stressed that the uncertainties that the globalization contains feed-up hopes as well as anxieties.

Bu çalışma küreselleşme sürecini arkaplam, doğurduğu soru ve sorunları ile irdelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Özellikle son on yıldır kültür, iletişim ve fmans alanlarında belirgin görüntüleri ile küreselleşme, sosyolojik anlamda yoğun soru ve sorunları beraberinde taşımaktadır. Egemenlik milli devlet ve milli kültürlerin geleceği, medeniyetin karşılaşabileceği sorunlar üzerindeki tartışmalara her geçen gün yenileri eklenmektedir. Alışılagelen kalıpların dışında küresel hayatın taşıdığı belirsizlikler umutların yanında endişeyi de beslemektedir.
