BİOMAĞNETİZMANIN GELİŞİMİ; İNSAN BEYNİNDEKİ DEMİRLİ BİLEŞENLERİN MAĞNETİK ANALİZİ

THE DEVELOPMENT OF BIOMAGNETISM; MAGNETIC ANALYSIS OF IRON COMPONENTS IN HUMAN BRAIN

Journal Name:

Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
The presence of magnetite mineral in living organism is demonstrated by different kind of studies using magnetic analysis. However in the recent years it has been documented in the human brain. Three different type of studies are introduced to demonstrate the presence of ferromagnetic minerals thought to be magnetite in human brain. Therefore magnetic properties of epilepsy and non-epilepsy human brain tissues were analysed using isothermal remanent magnetization (IRM) acquisition and alternating field (A.F.) demagnetization experiments. It has been deduced that magnetite exist in human brain tisues which is different in grain size and shape than those predicted from bacteria. A systematic variation of magnetic particle concentraition in epileptic and non-epileptic human brain tissues seems not to be acceptable for the presence.
