Cynicism; which has a deep history goes to 4. and 5. B.C. indicates its effects on organizational activities besides the social effects. In this study, an elaborated literature review and conceptual frame of cynicism is examined. Furthermore, cynicism and its correlation with other similar behavior is researched. Reasons that cause cynicism and the consequences are evaluated so the possible effects of cynicism on the workers are discussed.

Geçmişi M.Ö. 4. ve 5. yüzyıla kadar uzanan sinizm, günümüzde toplumsal etkisi yanında örgütsel faaliyetlerde de etkisini göstermiştir. Bu çalışmada, sinizm konusunda ayrıntılı şekilde literatür taraması yapılarak sinizmin kavramsal çerçevesi incelenmiş ayrıca sinizm ve benzer örgütsel davranış türleri ile ilişkisi araştırılmıştır. Sinizmin ortaya çıkış sebepleri ve sonuçları değerlendirilerek buradan hareketle işgören performansına olası etkileri tartışılmıştır. Sinizmin önlenmesi ya da etkilerinin azaltılmasına yönelik öneriler ortaya konulmuştur. Gelecek çalışmalarda Türk iş örgütlerinin sinizm profilinin araştırılmasının gerekliliği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
