Abstract (2. Language):
The article has different versions of "qut" word's etymology. There are detailed analysis of using this notion at the modern Turkic Languages, possible versions of its' origin, comparison with languages of the other groups, its' functions and meanings at the Old-Turkic texts.
Linguistic facts are being compared with the ethnographic information, ritual folklore and other extra-linguistic facts. Ali of them bring us to the point that "qut" notion in its' old meaning "soul, spirit, power of life" and in second new meaning "well-being, prosperity, good luck" was one of the most important part of traditional world outlooks for some of the nations in Central and Middle Asia, South Siberia and Ural Region.

Makalede qut kelimesinin etimolojisinin değişik hipotezleri istenilmekte. Çağdaş Türk lehçelerinde bu anlamın kullanımı, onun etimolojisi ile ilgili çeşitli görüşler, diğer kardeş gruplara ait olan diller ile karşılaştırma ve bu terimin eski Türk yazı anıtlanndaki
kullanımları araştırılmakta.
Elde edilen linguistik malzemeler etnografık malzemelerle, gelenek folkloru ve diğer ekstra-linguistik faktörlerle karşılaştırılmakta. Yapılan tahlil makale yazarını qut kelimesinin ilkel anlamını "ruh, gönül, hayat gücü", daha sonraki dönemlerde ise "bereket, şans, başarı" anlamları ile eşdeğer olup Merkezi ve Orta Asya'da, Güney Sibirya'da ve Ural bölgesinde yaşayan halkların geleneksel dünya görüşlerinin temeli olduğu sonucuna götürmektedir.
