Abstract (2. Language): 
One of the substantial parts of the Critique of Pure Reason is the “Transcendental Aesthetic,” whose task is to set forth that space and time are not intellectual but rather pure sensible representations. Kant argues that these pure forms of sensibility are the original source of synthetic a priori judgements, in other words, they constitute the epistemic conditions of mathematical and natural sciences. What is more, according to him, these pure forms of human subjectivity are to be regarded as the conditions of the possibility of objects. As it is known, this conception is the core of Kant’s transcendental idealism and reveals a fundamental distinction between appearances and things themselves.In this study, we will first make a deep analysis of the main arguments of the “Transcendental Aesthetic.” Secondly, Kant’s fundemantal distinctions lexically structured within the body of the “Aesthetic” will be determined with reference to critical philosophy in order to comprehend how those distinctions function in his later works.

Kant’ın Saf Aklın Eleştirisi’nin en önemli bölümlerinden biri, uzay ve zamanın aklî değil fakat saf duyusal temsiller olduğunun savunulduğu “Transendental Estetik”tir. Kant, duyusallığın söz konusu saf formlarının, sentetik a priori yargıların aslî kaynağı, diğer bir deyişle de, matematik ve doğa bilimlerinin epistemik koşulu olduğunu iddia eder. Dahası ona göre, insanın öznel yapısının bu formları, nesnelerin olanaklılık şartı olarak kabul edilmelidir. Bu anlayış, bilindiği üzere, Kant’ın transendental idealizminin özünü teşkîl eder ve görünüşler ile kendinde şeyler arasındaki temel bir ayrımı açığa çıkarır. Bu çalışmada, ilk olarak “Transendental Estetik”in ana argümanları derinlemesine bir biçimde çözümlenecektir. İkinci olarak, Kant’ın “Estetik”deki temel ayrımlarının eleştirel felsefe bakımından yeri saptanarak, bu ayrımların sonraki yapıtlarına giden yolda gördüğü işlev irdelenecektir.
