Abstract (2. Language):
In this study, it was investigated how the global economic crisis, which started in America in the last quarter of 2008 and influenced all the countries from the west to the east in various ways, has influenced the banks and financial institutions and their management and organizational policies during the crisis period.
In the study which was carried out by using the method of questionnaires and interviews with the senior officials of various banks and financial institutions operating in Sakarya, it has been found out that the number of customers and the volume of business have decreased dramatically due to the crisis and that they have been influenced by the crisis with this aspect. However, when the managerial and organizational effects of the crisis on these institutions are taken into consideration, it has been concluded that during the 2000 and 2001 crisis, there weren’t significant negations in managerial and organizational policies and applications owing to the reconstruction and adjustments but that it was necessary to be cautious.
