The aim of this research is to determine the attitudes of the students towards science. In this study, the sample consisted of the students attending Primary School Teaching and Science Programs of Buca Faculty of Education at Dokuz Eylül University. 103 students in senior groups are included in the sample. 57.3% of the students were females and 42.7% were males. To collect the data for the research, "Scale for Attitudes Towards Science", the reliability of which was provided by Gürdal (1997), and "Personal Information Form" were administered to the sample. To analyze the data, ANOVA (F), t and Scheffe tests were carried out and analyses were done with the SPSS-10.0 program. Some characteristics of the students and the differences in their attitudes towards science were discussed based on the results of the research.

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Buca Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf Öğretmenliği ve Fen Bilgisi Anabilim Dalı öğrencilerinin fen bilimlerine yönelik tutumlarının bazı değişkenler açısından incelenmesidir. Araştırmaya 4. sınıflarda öğrenim gören % 57,3'ü kız ve % 42,7'si erkek olmak üzere toplam 103 öğrenci dahil edilmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak, Gürdal (1997) tarafından geçerlik güvenirlik çalışması yapılmış olan "Fen Tutumu Ölçeği" ve "Kişisel Bilgi Formu" kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde tve F testleri uygulanmış ve analizler SPSS-10.0 bilgisayar paket programında yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, öğrencilerin bazı kişisel özellikleri ile Fen derslerine yönelik tutumları arasındaki farklılıklar tartışılmıştır.
