Abstract (2. Language):
Some of the characteristics that were thought to effect responsibility were studies in terms of its predictive power for responsibility. Two-hundred twenty four high school students was evaluated with personal and social instrument which was developed by Conrad and Hedin (1982) and adopted to Turkish culture by Taylı (2006), according to the this instruments total scores. Results were calculated via multidimensional regression analysis. Results were revealed that most predictable variables were gender and mothers’ educational level. Female students’ responsibility levels were found to be higher than male students. Additionally, mothers’ educational level was more effective than fathers’ educational level. However, it was understood during the analysis performed by controlling the effect of gender, it was understood that the type of school and the father's education were also determining factors for responsibility.
