In this study, developing process, scientific situation and necessities of poliçe sciences are stressed. Therefore, the Ph.D. dissertations are written at universiües or institutes in poliçe sciences fteld in USA and Turkey were examined. Also some implementations which must be done by Turkish National Poliçe and Institute of Security Sciences at Poliçe Academy far ne w member ofworld of sciences are emphasized.

Bu çalışmada, polis bilimlerinin gelişim süreci, bilimsel konumu ve gerekliliği vurgulanmaktadır. Bu amaçla ABD'de üniversite ve enstitülerde Polis Bilimleri alanında yürütülen mastır ve doktora programları ile Türkiye'de polis bilimleri alanında üniversite ve enstitülerde yazılan tezler incelenmiştir. Ayrıca, Emniyet Genel Müdürlüğü ve Polis Akademisine bağlı Güvenlik Bilimleri Enstitüsünce polis bilimleri için yapması zorunlu uygulamalar vurgulanmıştır.
