İn this study; lumbar and thoracic epidural applications under sedation in school age children were presented. Thoracic epidural catheters were inserted before elective thoracotomies and were combined with general anes¬thesia. Lumbar epidural catheters were inserted in the emergency orthopedic cases that had contraindication tor general anesthesia and were combined with sedation.

Bu çalışmada, okul çağı çocuklarında sedasyon altında gerçekleştirilen lomber ve torakal epidural uygulamaları sunuldu. Torakal epidural kateterler elektif torakotomi operasyonlarından önce yerleştirilip genel anestezi ile kom¬bine edildiler. Lomber epidural kateterler genel anestezi kontrendikasyonu mevcut olan, acil ortopedik vakalara yerleştirilip sedasyon ile kombine edildiler.
