Britain has the oldest industrial relatinos system as a result of its early industrialization. The industrial relations system has changed from time to time, and taken place differently in public and private sectors. In British context, trade unions have had a great role in the industrial relations system. Government has usually avoided intervening in employee-employer relations, with the exception of periods of crises and wars. These features made industrial relations system have created its own traditions that have totally been different from that of other countries. Also, it has been used as a model industrial relations system by the other countries whose systems have been generally shaped by law.

Britanya, sanayileşmenin bir sonucu olarak en eski sanayi relatinos sistemine sahiptir.Endüstri ilişkileri sisteminin zaman zaman değişti, kamu ve özel sektörde farklı bir yer almıştır. İngiliz bağlamda, sendikalar ve endüstriyel ilişkiler sisteminde büyük bir rol oynamıştır. Hükümet genellikle krizler ve savaşlar dönemleri dışında, işçi-işveren ilişkilerini müdahale kaçınmıştır. Bu özellikler endüstri ilişkileri sistemi tamamen diğer ülkelerden farklı olmuştur kendi geleneklerini oluşturmuş yaptı. Ayrıca, kimin sistemleri genellikle yasa tarafından şekillendirilmiştir diğer ülkeler tarafından model endüstriyel ilişkiler sistemi olarak kullanılmaktadır.
