Abstract (2. Language):
During the last 20 years social security systems and pension schemes have faced a significant crisis in many country. Although there are several variables affecting social security systems, the crisis is mostly based on similar reasons. The population is aging rapidly and individuals are living longer. These demographic trends have placed enormous pressure on the financial viability of the social security systems. The financial pressure is compounded by another trend. In virtually every country employees are leaving the labor force at younger and younger ages. The crisis of pension systems forces governments in every country to implement pension reform programs. Individual account system is the one of reform initiatives. This paper explores some of the range of reforms programs on social security, drawing on examples from a variety of OECD countries.
Abstract (Original Language):
Yaşanan kriz, her ülkede hükümetleri emeklilik sistemi programları reformlarını gerçekleştirmeye zorlamaktadır. Bireysel emeklilik hesapları bu reform girişimlerinden biridir. Bu makalenin amacı, sosyal güvenlik sistemlerine ilişkin reformları çeşitli OECD ülkelerinden örneklerle ortaya koymaktır.
