Abstract (2. Language):
With the fact that the relationship between trade unions and civil society has raised new discussions during recent years, it's put forward that the decline of trade union power isn't a coincidence in view of the fact that the influence of civil society institutions has increased. Under these considerations, it's asserted that the civil society institutions try to disregard inter-class clash.It caused the retreat of trade union activities and their members that economic, technologic, politic and societal developments appearing with the last quarter of 20th century have devastated the political economy under which the trade unions were used to functioning. Having awared of the inconsistencies these developments brought on, trade unions started to regain their ex-positions initiating the organizing and new activities.
Trade unions gained their position as civil society institutions in the unignorable organizations with the fact that global economic developments and civil organizations couldn't bring down the challenges, especially the exploitation of the labour, which threat workers in the worklife, deepening of the economic and social inequalities urged the need for trade union struggle.

Sivil toplum ile sendikalar arasındaki ilişkiler son yıllarda yeni tartışmaları doğurmuş, sivil toplum kuruluşlarının etkinliğinin artmasına karşılık sendikaların gücünde ortaya çıkan gerilemenin tesadüfi olmadığı, sermayenin gücünü arkasına alan sivil toplum örgütlerinin sınıflar arası çatışmayı göz ardı etmeye çalıştığı ileri sürülmüştür.

yüzyılın son çeyreğinden itibaren ortaya çıkan ekonomik, teknolojik, siyasal ve sosyal gelişmelerin sendikaların alışık oldukları tabanı ve çevreyi değiştirmesi, sendika üyelerinde ve faaliyetlerinde gerilemelere yol açmıştır. 1980 yılından sonra değişimin yol açtığı olumsuzlukları fark eden sendikalar, örgütlenme ve yeni faaliyetleri gündemlerine alarak tekrar eski etkin konumlarına ulaşmanın mücadelesine girmişlerdir.
Küresel ekonomik gelişmelerin ve sivil örgütlenmelerin beklendiği gibi çalışma hayatındaki sorunları azaltmaması, başta emek sömürüsü olmak üzere çalışanları tehdit eden olumsuzlukların yaygınlaşması ve derinleşmesi, ekonomik ve sosyal dengesizliklerin artması sendikal mücadeleye olan ihtiyacı ortaya çıkarmış, sendikalar sivil toplum düzeninde de vazgeçilemeyecek örgütler arasındaki yerini almaya başlamıştır.
