Panoramik radyografilerde ortaya çıkan hataların tipleri ve sıklığı

The types and frequency of errors in panoramic radiographs

Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
Aim: To identify the type and frequency of errors in diagnostically unacceptable panoramic radiographs. Materials and Methods: Diagnostically unacceptable 500 panoramic radiographs were reviewed and errors were classified as positioning and technical errors. The type and frequency of errors were determined. Results: Twenty different types of errors were encountered. The most common error was patient's not positioning the tongue in the palate during exposure. Tipping the patient's chin too far downward, and forward were the other frequent positioning errors. The most frequent technical errors were processing solution stains and density errors. Conclusion: Proper patient positioning and instructioning are significant factors in improving the quality in panoramic radiography.
