Local anesthesics are widely used in dentistry. Many types of local anesthetics are used for different indications in dental clinics. Recently, a new local anesthetic is introduced to the market; Ropivocaine. But it seems that dentists are not aware of it. The aim of this rewiev is to acknowledge dentists about this new local anes¬thetic.

Lokal anestezikler dişhekimliği kliniğinde oldukça yoğun olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu amaçla çeşitli lokal anestezik maddeler farklı endikasyonlar için kendilerine kullanım alanı bulmuştur. Son yıllarda üretilen ve kullanıma sunulan bir başka lokal anestezik ise Ropivokaindir. Fakat dişhekimliği kliniklerindeki kullanımı sınırlı kalmıştır. Bu makalenin amacı, bu yeni anestezik maddenin dişhekimlerince tanınmasını sağlamaktır.
