Abstract (2. Language):
Aquatic hyphomycetes flora of decaying leaves fallen to Aras River and its branches within province boundary of Erzurum was investigated. Twelve sampling station were selected on the river and its branches as eight for leaf samples. From these stations total 83 leaf samples were collected. By using "Incubation in Petri Dish" and "Aerated Incubation in Flask" methods, 21 different taxa belonging to 12 genera of aquatic hypho-mycetes fungi were obtained from these samples. Incubation temperatures were chosen as "ambient tempera-ture (22-26°C)" and "12°C". The most common species encountered were Tetracladium marchalianum and Ar-ticulospora proliferata. In addition, the next common taxa were Lemonniera aquatica, Alatospora sp., Alato-spora acuminata, Anguillospora longissima, Clavariopsis aquatica, Clavatospora longibrachiata on leaf sam-ples respectively. The taxa obtained from the study were generally cosmopolitan or ones which found cold and temperate climates. Except pH, there was not any meaning relation between chemical properties of water and distribution of the taxa to months. It may say that there is a decrease in species richness with increased pH.
