Abstract (2. Language):
Antiphospholipid antibodies can cause recurrent thrombotic attacks in some patients. Antiphospholipid antibodies are detected in patients with autoimmune disease especially systemic lupus erythematosus, infectious, malignant and drug-induced disorders. Vascular access-related complications are an important cause of morbidity. Antiphospholipid antibodies have been involved in thrombosis, and have been reported to be present in a high proportion of patients with chronic renal failure We studied the prevalence of anticardiolipin antibodies and vasculer access thrombosis among patients undergoing haemodialysis. ACA were measured in 18patients (10 man, 8 women) have no Vascular access thrombosis and 17 patients (10 women, 7 man) have recurrent Vascular access thrombosis . ACA was measured by a ELİ S A method. ACL Ig G was found as positive in 2 patients (%11.1) with have no vascular access thrombosis and was detected in one patient (%5.8) with vascular access thrombosis. ACL Ig M were found to be negative in all patients. Consequently, we concluded that no increase was detected in ACA existence in hemodialysis patients who developed thrombosis.
