Abstract (2. Language):
In this study, the results of reuse (Ru) application on 20 chronic hemodialyzedpatients (11 male, 9female; mean age 40±ll years) were evaluated and the Ru potentials of different membranes were investigated. All patients were performed standart hemodialysis (HD) with diasol containing acetate for 4 hours, three times a week. In Ru process, membranes of Polysulfone (Psf) (1 m2-Hemoflow F5) in 8patients, Cuprophane (Cu) (1.2 m2-FoCus 120) in 7 patients, and Cuproammonium Rayon (Cr) (1.2 m2-Clirans 12) in 5 patients were used.Disinfection of membranes was made in the solutions of 2% formaldehyde and 1% soduim hypochloride. After every rinsing piriming volumes (PV) of dialyzers were measured and whenPV decreased under 80% of initial values, Ru process was ended. Ru process was made average 8 (5-15) times with Psf, 3 (2-5) times with Cu, and 3 (1-4) times with Cr membranes. PV and dialyzer urea clearance of membranes gradually decreased as Ru times increased. It was concluded that any significant complication ofRu wasn't observed, the expenses of dialysis materials decreased by 30% and 50% by means of Ru process, membrane material was important in Ru process, and Ru potential of Psf membrane, a synthetic membrane, was higher than those of cellulosic membranes.
