Abstract (2. Language):
Hyperandrogenism is defined as androgen-dependent signs such as hirsutism, acne, seborrhea, and alopecia in girls and women. Hirsutism is the term used for the excess of male type body hair in the androgen-sensitive skin regions of girls and women. Polycystic ovary syndrome is the most common cause of hirsutism in adoles¬cent girls. More rare causes are idiopathic hirsutism, nonclassical adrenal hyperplasia, androgen-secreting tumors, Cushing's syn¬drome, hyperprolactinemia, disorders of sex differentiation and some drugs. On physical examination, the quantification of hirsutism is defined by using the Ferriman-Gallwey score. In patients with hyperandrogenism, first, the etiology is defined based upon clinical history, physical examination, hormonal investigations and imaging studies. As a treatment, depending on the underlying eti¬ology, oral contraceptive pills, antiandrogen drugs and cosmetic modalities can be used. Multidisciplinary approach including family physician, pediatric endocrinologist, gynecologist, dermatologist, psychologist and dietician is essential for follow up.
Abstract (Original Language):
Adolesan kızlarda hirsutizmin en sık nedeni polikistik over sendromudur. Daha nadir nedenler; idiyopatik hirsutizm, nonklasik konjenital ad¬renal hiperplazi, androjen salgılayan tümörler, Cushing sendromu, hiperprolaktinemi, cinsiyet farklılaşma bozuklukları ve bazı ilaçlar olarak sıralanabilir. Fizik muayenede kıllanma derecesi Ferriman-Gallwey skorlaması ile belirlenir. Hiperandrojenemi olgularında; öncelikle öykü, fizik muayene, hormon tetkikleri ve görüntüleme yöntemleri ile etiyoloji belirlenir. Tedavi altta yatan nedene yöne¬lik olup, oral kontraseptifler, antiandrojen ilaçlar ve kozmetik yön¬temler kullanılabilir. izlemde aile hekimi, pediatrik endokrinolog, jinekolog, dermatolog, psikolog ve diyetisyenin dahil olduğu mul-tidisipliner yaklaşım önemlidir.
