In this study, the term of “Peer Bullying” has been observed according to definitions and approaches variety in Turkey and abroad. “Bullying” is used synonym of violence and aggressiveness today and spread of all cultures in the world as an international concept. “Bullying” is a widespread fact which consists of physical, verbal and social damage to a feeble one. It is a kind of violence and can be defined as incapability of someone to a person or more than one person’s violence. Bullying can be classified as follows: psychological and emotional (a gossip or exclusion etc.), verbal (get a nickname, impose constraints, intimidation etc.) and physical (impellent, to kick a victim etc.)The findings of this study can be summarized as follows: the frequency and extent of violence is very effective on espousal, insensitivity and unresponsiveness of the students. Thus, they use them as a problem solving instrument and also can move them to all parts of theri life. Bully has been determined that some precautions should be taken not to be effected from the short term and long term effects of violence

Saldırganlığın bir alt türü olan zorbalık, bir veya birden çok öğrencinin, kendilerinden daha güçsüz öğrencileri, kasıtlı ve sürekli olarak rahatsız etmesiyle sonuçlanan ve kurbanın kendisini koruyamayacak durumda olduğu bir saldırganlık türüdür. Son 30 yıldır yapılan araştırmalar zorbalığın, çocukların sağlıklı gelişimine yönelik önemli bir tehdit olduğunu ve okullarda ciddi boyutlara ulaştığını ortaya koymaktadır. Zorbalık olgusunun çocuklar üzerindeki psikolojik ve sosyolojik etkileri sadece okul yıllarıyla sınırlı kalmayıp yaşamın sonraki dönemlerinde de devam etmekte, yetişkinliğe de taşınma riski yüksek görülmektedir. Zorbalık, hem zorbaları, hem de kurbanları olumsuz etkilemektedir. Zorbalığa uğrayan öğrenciler; kaygı, kızgınlık ve çaresizlik duyguları, depresyon, okulu sevmeme ve akademik başarıda düşüş, kendini değersiz ve mutsuz hissetme, dışlanmışlık ve yalnız kalma gibi sorunlar yaşamaktadır. Zorbalık türleri beş kategoride ele alınmaktadır. Bunlar; fiziksel zorbalık, sözel zorbalık, dışlama-yalnızlaştırma, söylenti çıkarıp yayma ve bireyin mal ve eşyalarına zarar verme şeklindedir.
