Abstract (2. Language):
In this study; hypertext, hypermedia and multimedia are considered in point of view of an instructional designer. First; these media were defined according to their historical development and then their advantage and disadvantages were examined. Design issues which could be taken into consideration were examined according to design principles of media structure and navigational tools and designing these media based on individual differences. Consequently; instructional designers’ decisions, functions, design issues which she/he could pay attention and their roles in instructional design are discussed in order to use hypertext, hypermedia and multimedia as learning and teaching environments.
