Abstract (2. Language):
The article tries to analyze the concept of economic globalization. This is a process which began several decades ago and goes on for the time-being. Economy and politics are deeply interrelated in todays’ world. One can see on television screens the opponents of WTO or the hunger in African continent. These are also related to economic globalization. In this article, it is first tried to understand theoretical and institutional roots of economic globalization. Then, local economic relations are revisioned. An economic interdependence and international financial network, and international trade are also stressed. As a latter step, behavioral characteristics of multinational corporations such as motives of profit and grow, or competition and aggressiveness are studied. Finally, the emergent problem areas are discussed and related implications are emphasized.
