Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
The purpose of the present study is to develop a satisfaction scale for prospective teachers enrolled in department of science education (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Elementary Science Education). The scale with 82 items was prepared by considering related literature. Then, the scale was administered to 410 senior prospective science teachers. Based upon the factor and reliability analysis conducted by using statistical procedures, Prospective Science Teachers Satisfaction Scale (PSTSS) with 71 items and five factors have been developed. The sub-scales and the items in each sub-scale are as follows; (1) Administration,Facilities, and Information Source – 26 items, (2) Academic Staff – 17 items, (3) Laboratory and its Facilities – 14 items, (4) Classroom Environment – 6 items and (5) Skill Development – 8 items. The internal consistency (α) of the scale developed is .98.

Bu çalışmanın amacıfen bilimleri öğretmenliği (Fizik, Kimya, Biyoloji ve Fen Bilgisi) bölümlerinde okuyan öğretmen adaylarıiçin memnuniyet ölçeği geliştirmektir. Geniş bir literatür taramasıardından hazırlanan 82 maddeli ölçek fen bilgisi öğretmenliği 4. sınıfta okuyan 410 öğretmen adayına uygulanmıştır. İstatistiksel yöntemler kullanılarak faktör analizi ve güvenilirlik çalışmalarıyapılmış, bu çalışmalar sonucunda 71 maddeli ve beşalt boyuttan oluşan Fen Bilimleri Öğretmen AdaylarıMemnuniyet Ölçeği (FBÖAMÖ) geliştirilmiştir. Ölçekteki alt boyutlar ve her alt boyuttaki madde sayıları sırasıyla, (1) Yönetim, Olanaklar, ve Bilgi Kaynağı– 26 madde, (2) Öğretim Elemanları – 17 madde, (3) Laboratuar ve Olanaklar – 14 madde, (4) Sınıf Ortamı– 6 madde ve (5) Beceri Gelişimi – 8 maddedir.
