The traditional internationalization theory expresses that firms can be international after experienced proccesses start with passive export than abroad marketing, abroad production. The Born Global companies, that operate in international markets from the earliest day of the their establishment, conflict with the traditional internationalization theory. In this paper, the born global firms that are a new subject in international marketing are introduced. The Born Global Firms are usually technology oriented, small and medium sized. The studies about the born global firms are receiving much more attention in developed countries. In this paper, initially traditional internationalization theories and İts critiqies are investigated. Then, the characteristics and speed up factors the Born Global Firms formation are investigated. Finally successes the born global firms achieved are discussed and the suggestions are presented for implementing at SMEs in Turkey.

Geleneksel uluslararasılaşma teorisi işletmelerin; pasif ihracatla başlayan bir süreçte, pazarlama ve üretim gibi çeşitli deneyimsel aşamalardan geçerek uluslararasılaştıklarını ifade etmektedir. Kuruluşlarının ilk günlerinden itibaren uluslararası pazarlarda faaliyet gösteren, “Global Doğan İşletmeler” aşamalı uluslararasılaşma sürecini yaşayan geleneksel işletmelere göre pek çok konuda farklılıklar göstermektedir. Bu çalışmada, uluslararası pazarlamada son yıllarda ortaya çıkan ve yeni bir konu olan “Global Doğan İşletmeler” bu farklılıklar da göz önüne alınarak incelenmiştir. Global Doğan İşletmeler teknoloji yönelimli, genelde küçük ve orta büyüklükte işletmelerdir. Dünyanın birçok gelişmiş ülkesinde “Global Doğma” ile ilgili çalışmalar hızla artmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, ilk olarak geleneksel uluslararasılaşma teorileri ve buna yöneltilen eleştirilere yer verilmektedir. Daha sonra Global Doğan İşletmelerin özellikleri ve oluşumunu hızlandıran nedenler incelenmektedir. Son olarak, Global Doğan İşletmelerin elde ettikleri başarılar tartışılmakta ve ülkemizde, özellikle KOBİ’lere yönelik, “Global Doğma” konusunda yapılabileceklere ilişkin öneriler sunulmaktadır.
