Abstract (2. Language):
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the pH changes of calcium hydroxide materials which are used as intracanal medicaments between endodontic vicits. 50 extracted maxillary anterior human teeth were included in the study. Following biomechanical preparation, the root canals were obturated with calcium hydroxide materials (Kalsin, Pulpdent, Dycal-Base and calcium hydroxide-distilled water mixture). Teeth were placed individually in screw-capped vials containing 10 misaline solution (pH=7). After 1 hour, 1, 2, 5 and 7 days die pH of the solution surrounding t/ıe tooffi was measured and recorded. At tlie end of the experiment die mean pH levels were increased to 7.7±0.1 in Kalsin group; to 8.9±0.9in Pulpdent group; to 7.3±0.1 in Dycal-Base group and to 9.2±2.5 in the group of calcium hydroxide-distilled water mixture. In each group teh increase ofpHjrom 1 hour to 1 week was found to be statistically significant (0.01<p<0.05). During the experiment, no significant changes were detected in the pll levels of control groups (pH+7.1±0.1). Statistical analysis of the pH levels measured at the end of the experiment showed that there was not a significant difference between the groups of Pulpdent and calcium hydroxide-distilled water mixture (p>0.05); however, die comparison of the other experimental groups with each other and iviih the latter groups showed a significant difference (0.01<p<0.05).

Deney sonunda ortalama pH değeri: Kalsin grubunda 7.7 ± 0.1'e: Pulpdent grubunda 8.9±0.9'a; Dycal-Base grubunda 7.3±0.1'e ve Kalsiyum hidroksit-saf su karışımı grubunda 9.2±1.5*e yükselmiştir.
