Abstract (2. Language):
This research aims to examine the impact of webquest-aided learning approach on two students with mild
mental disability from a special education center.
Case study, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The research was conducted on
2 students receiving education in the 1st level, 4th grade of the Special Education Practice School in the Mentese
District of Mugla Province in the 2013-2014 school year. The research data was obtained through observation
and semi-structured interview method.
In conclusion, it was determined that webquest-aided learning approach allowed faster learning and cognitive
load for students with mild mental disability.

Bu araştırmanın amacı; webquest destekli öğrenme yaklaşımının özel eğitim merkezinde öğrenim gören hafif
düzeyli zihinsel yetersizliğe sahip iki öğrenci üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir.
Araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan durum çalışması ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın
uygulaması 2013-2014 eğitim-öğretim yılında Muğla ili Menteşe ilçesi Özel Eğitim Uygulama Okulu 1. Kademe 4.
Sınıfında öğrenim gören 2 öğrenci üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma verileri gözlem ve yarı-yapılandırılmış
görüşme aracılığı ile toplanmıştır.
Araştırma sonucu elde edilen bulgular da, webquest destekli öğrenme yaklaşımının hafif düzeyli zihinsel
yetersizliği olan öğrencilerde daha hızlı öğrenme sağladığı ve bilişsel yüklenmeye neden olduğu saptanmıştır.
