Clusters as a geographic concentration of interconnected businesses, and associated institutions in a particular field both improves competitiveness of clustered firms and takes more place in national policies as a regional development tool. Objective of this study is to determine whether cluster, which is seen so important, has unique resources or not and then identify the resources. Research was conducted in furniture business cluster in Kayseri and provided 250 firms participation. Data was obtained through a questionnaire. Obtained data were analyzed by AMOS and SPSS statistical programs. As a result of the exploratory and confirmatory factor analyzes it has revealed that cluster resources were grouped under four groups named institutional resources, specialized resources, relational resources and financial resources which consisted of 28 items.

Belirli bir alanda birbiri ile ilişkili firmalar ve kurumların coğrafik konsantrasyonu olarak tanımlanabilecek kümeler, içindeki işletmelerin rekabet gücünü artırırken bir bölgesel kalkınma aracı olarak da ülke politikalarında git gide daha çok yer bulmaktadır. Oldukça önem atfedilen kümelerin kendine has kaynakları olup olmadığını ve bu kaynakların neler olduğunu belirlemek araştırmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma, Kayseri Mobilya İş Kümesinde yapılmış olup, 250 işletmenin katılımı sağlanmıştır. Veriler anket yöntemi kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler AMOS ve SPSS paket programları kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan açıklayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizleri neticesinde küme kaynaklarının 28 madde içeren ve kurumsal kaynaklar, özelleşmiş kaynaklar, ilişkisel kaynaklar ve finansal kaynaklar olarak isimlendirilen dört gruptan oluştukları görülmüştür.
