Abstract (2. Language):
During the routine cadaver dissections in our department laboratory, it was observed that sural nerve in the lower-left extremity of an adult male cadaver has stemmed from tibial nerve, and has advanced in the gastrocnemius muscle to the some extend by entering into it between its two heads as different from its normal course. It was also observed that sural nerve has shallowed by penetrating fascia profunda and forwarded towards the distal to leg in a way that it has become lateral to small saphenous vein. The course of sural nerve in the lower-right extremity was determined as normal. Various studies to the date have been done regarding sural nerve. It was believed that, the variation we defined in this study would be beneficial for the radiological and neurological studies as well as surgical operations related to that area.
