Abstract (2. Language):
One day year old, male, Holstein breed calf was presented to our clinics with the complaint of the bitten tongue by a dog just after his birth. In inspection, superficial skin injuries were found around the nose and the lips. In oral examination, the tongue was found to be ruptured from the torus part of the lingua. There was no foreign body in the mouth, and the patient did not have any active bleeding. The patient was euthanized due to this pathology which makes the calf enable to be fed for a long time duration.

Holstein ırkı, erkek, 1günlük, bir buzağı doğumdan sonra birkaç saat içinde dilinin köpekler tarafından ısırılıp kopartılması şikayeti ile kliniğimize getirildi. İnspeksiyonda, burun ve dudaklar çevresinde yüzeysel deri yaralanmaları görüldü. Ağız muayenesinde, dilin toruslinguae kısmından itibaren düzensiz şekilde transversal olarak kopmuş olduğu gözlendi. Ağız içerisinde yabancı cisim saptanmadı ve bölgede aktif bir kanama yoktu. Palpasyonda dilin ağrılı olduğu, çene kemiklerinde bir patoloji saptanmadı. Olguya; Dilin toruslinguae hizasın-dan kopması tanısı konuldu. Beslenmenin bu patoloji ile sağlanamayacağı düşüncesiyle buzağının ötenazisi uygun bulundu.
