Abstract (2. Language):
This study investigates long-term relationship between population and living standars using unit root tests, cointegration test and error correction model in Turkey for 1938-1998. Empiricial evidences suggest that there is no relationship between two variables in long-term and hence, population growth neither causes per capita GNP growth nor is caused by it.
