The ethiology of the disease, which causes of forming lesions on skin and mucosa, is not known clearly and tought that it is developed otoimmunly. In addition it is accepted that psychical and emotional disorders plays role in ethiology. The frequency of erosive lichen planus is higher than the other dermatosis' and it is seen more in the group of in advanced age women than the others. It is established that this lesion is precancerous and can turn over to malign lesions. In our study it is aimed to present the intraoral and histopathologic findings of a young male patient suffering from erosive lichen planus.

Deride ve mukozada lezyonlara neden olan hastalığın etiyolojisi çok iyi bilinmemekte ve otoimmün geliştiği düşünülmektedir. Ayrıca psişik nedenlerin, emosyonel bozuklukların etiyolojisinde rol oynadığı kabul edilmektedir. Hastalığın görülme sıklığı diğer dermatozlara oranla fazladır ve ileri yaşlardaki bayanlarda daha çok görülür. Lezyonun prekanseröz olduğu, malign lezyona dönüşebildiği belirtilmektedir. Çalışmamızda, eroziv liken planuslu genç bir erkek hastanın, intraoral ve histopatolojik bulgularının sunulması amaçlanmıştır.
