Abstract (2. Language):
Ameloblastoma is a benign odontogenic tumour, which often shows aggressive growth and a high recurrence rate after conservative surgical treatment. Unicystic ameloblastoma is considered to be a less aggressive form of ameloblastoma and treatment by conservative surgical methods is thought to be adequate for the majortty of cases. In the present case report; a 22-year-old grri referred to our clinic with the complaint of pain and swelling in her /eft posterior mandibular region. Radiographic examination revealed an uni/oculer radiolucency in this region. The lesion was enucleated totally and was diagnosed as unicystic ameloblastoma by histopathologic! examination. After the surgery, complete healing was obtained clinically and radiographicaly. No recurrence was seen during the follow-up period of 3 year.

Vaka raporumuzda, sol alt çene molar bölgesinde şişlik ve ağrı şikayeti ile başvuran 22 yaşındaki bayan hastanın radyolojkk incelemesinde, ilgili bölgede unlloküler ve radyolüsent bir lezyon tespit edildi. Lezyon lokal anestezi attında tamamen enüklee edildi ve materyal histopato/ojik incelemeye gönderildi. İnce/enen örneğe unkkstkk ameloblastoma tanısı konuldu ve nüks ihtimali düşünülerek hasta takibe alındı. Hastanın 3 yıllık kontrollerinde nüksle karşılaşılmadı ve lezyon bölgesinin tamamen iyileştiği saptandı.
