Abstract (2. Language):
The aim of the study was to compare the viscosity properties of two oral moisturising gels. The viscosity measurements of the gels were performed with Brookfield digital viscosimeter (Model DV-III) at room temperature and at 37°C to mimic the body temperature. The viscosities of natural saliva collected from 5 healthy people and the two oral moisturising gels were measured under the same conditions. Ten different measurements were made from each formulation to determine the mean viscosity values. Measurements obtained at the room temperature showed that both formulations have similar viscosity values. However, measurements made at 37°C showed that Bioxtra® has the lowest viscosity value (p<0.05). Flow curves of the formulations were also statistically different from each other (p<0.05). The viscosity measurements performed at body temperature proved that BioXtra®'s viscosity value was similar to that of natural saliva.

Çalışmada ağız içi nemlendirici özeliiği o/an iki farklı jelin viskozite özelliklerinin belirlenmesi ve doğal tükürükle karşılaştırı/ması amaçlanmıştır.
