Being poets of III. Murad (d. 1004/1595) period, Mehmed b. Moses Pasha’s real name is Mehmed,
and his pseudonym is Emîrî or referred to as Emir in his poems. His pedigree is based on the
principalities Candaroğulları part of his father, and Fahreddin Razi’s (d. 606/1210) grandson Pîrî
Mehmed Pasha (d. 939/1532) of Seljuk Scholars part of his mother. Emîrî whom there is not any
knowledge in resources about his life has got two Diwan’s. Emîrî, a Sûfî poet, was affected from poets
such as Mawlana (d. 672/1273), Shams-i Tabrizi (d. 645/1247 ?), Jami (d. 898/1492), Attâr (d.
618/1221). In his poetry, he attributes of God, he touched on the miracles of the prophets; god of love
and tell her lover. Also poetry in verses, hadiths and pointed to the Prophets; literary arts have used a
lot. In his mentioned study information on the Emîrî’s of life is given and the verses quated in Persian
poems at Emîrî’s Second Diwan, were examined.

III. Murad (ö. 1004/1595) dönemi şairlerinden olan Mehmed b. Musa Paşa’nın asıl adı
Mehmed, mahlası Emîrî’dir. Soyu baba tarafından Candaroğullarına, anne tarafından Selçuklu
âlimlerinden Fahreddin Râzî’nin (ö. 606/1210) torunu Pîrî Mehmed Paşa’ya (ö. 939/1532) dayanmaktadır.
Hayatına dair kaynaklarda herhangi bir bilgi bulunmayan Emîrî’nin iki Divân’ı
bulunmaktadır. Sûfî bir şair olan Emîrî, Mevlâna (ö. 672/1273), Şems-i Tebrîzî (ö. 645/1247 ?),
Câmî (ö. 898/1492), Attâr (ö. 618/1221) gibi mutasavvıf şairlerden etkilenmiştir. Şiirlerinde
Allah’ın sıfatlarına, peygamberin mucizelerine değinmiş; ilâhî aşkı ve sevgiliyi anlatmıştır. Ayrıca
şiirlerinde ayet, hadis ve peygamber kıssalarına işaret etmiş; edebî sanatları çokça kullanmıştır.
Söz konusu çalışmada Emîrî’nin hayatına dair bilgiler verilmiş ve Emîrî’nin İkinci Divân’ındaki
Farsça şiirlerinde iktibas edilen ayetler tespit edilerek, incelenmiştir.
