Abstract (2. Language): 
The basic case of this study is to point out the pains suffered during transition process into liberalism from the moderate statist model of economic development followed by the Republican People's Party in young Republican Turkey which could not have kept up with the Industrial Revolution and was incapable of building its national bourgeoisie. The war-time economic policies negatively affecting wide public masses increased the unrest in the society and this situation led the ruling party to new analytics. The study is important to understand how the conditions of the Second World War influenced the Turkish political life on one side and the tides of the wartime economic policies on the other side.

Bu çalışmanın temel sorunsalı, Endüstri Devrimi’ni kaçırmış, milli burjuvazisini yaratamamış Genç Cumhuriyet Türkiye’sinin, Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi vasıtasıyla izlemiş olduğu ılımlı otarşi ekonomik kalkınma modelinden, liberalizme geçiş sürecinde çektiği sancıları ortaya koymak olmuştur. Savaş yıllarında geniş halk kitlesini olumsuz etkileyen ekonomik politikalar, toplumdaki huzursuzluğu artırmış ve bu durum iktidar partisinin yeni çözümlemelere yönelmesine neden olmuştur. Çalışma, özellikle İkinci Dünya Savaşı koşullarının Türk siyasal hayatına yansımalarını ve ekonomi politikalarında yaşanan medcezirleri aydınlatmayı hedeflemektedir. .
