İğdeli (Gemerek, Sivas) Lokalitesi Erken Pliyosen Fauna İstifinin Rodentia ve Lagomorpha (Mammalia) Fosilleri: Biyokronolojik ve Paleobiyocoğrafik Anlamları

The Rodentia And Lagomorpha (Mammalia ) From The Early Pliocene From İğdeli (Gemerek, Sivas): Biocronological And Paleogeographical Implications

Journal Name:

Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
The taxonomy of the Rodentia and Lagomorpha from the Early Pliocene localities of İğdeli is interpreted in terms of biostratigraphy and paleogeography. The relative age of the fauna assemblages are inferred on the basis of the rodent and lagomorph dentitions. In İğdeli rodent and lagomorph faunas are dominated by European and Asiatic species. Endemic species are rare and the few that show African affinities are restricted to the assemblages of Latest Miocene-Earliest Pliocene age.
