Abstract (2. Language):
The main purpose of this study is to investigate the causality relationship between paper consumption and economic growth in Turkey with time series analysis using annual data related to 1969-2009 period. In the analysis, cointegration test and augmented Granger causality test were used. The results of analysis show that there is a strong bi-directional causality between paper consumption and economic growth.
Abstract (Original Language):
Bu çalışmanın temel amacı 1969-2009 dönemine ait verilerle Türkiye‟de ekonomik büyüme ile kâğıt tüketimi arasındaki nedensellik ilişkisini zaman serisi analiziyle incelemektir. Analizde koentegrasyon ve genelleştirilmiş Granger nedensellik testleri kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçları ekonomik büyüme ile kâğıt tüketimi arasında çift yönlü güçlü nedenselliğin varlığını kanıtlamaktadır.
