Ibn Haldun
i
s an important thinker both in the Islamic world and the thought history of world. Ibn Haldun is originally a polydirection scholar. His Mukaddima has clearly introducted this state. İbn Haldun is prominent in the area of the history and the sosyology, but he has competent in the Islamic studies as well. One of important evidents of this is his deep deep knowledge in the hadith area. He teached the hadith both as a teacher and studied the understanding and the interpreting of hadiths - as seen in his Mukaddime -. The approach about the understanding of the hadith of İbn Haldun has presented the metodology which give a chance the understanding and the interpreting of the hadiths. The most important element in this metodology is made interprets about hadith taking into consideration the social rialities.

İbn Haldun, gerek İslâm dünyasında gerekse dünya düşünce tarihinde önemli bir yeri bulunan büyük bir düşünürdür. İbn Haldun esas itibariyle çok yönlü bir ilim adamıdır. Mukaddime adlı eseri bunu açıkça ortaya koymaktadır. O, tarih ve sosyoloji alanında meşhur olmuştur, ancak İslâmî ilimlerde de vukufiyet kesbetmiştir. Bunun önemli şahitlerinden biri hadîs alanındaki derin bilgisidir. İbn Haldun, hem bir hoca olarak hadîs okutmuş hem de -Mukaddime adlı eserinde görüldüğü gibi hadîsleri anlamaya ve yorumlamaya çalışmıştır. Onun hadîslere getirdiği yaklaşım bizlere önemli yorum zenginliği sunmaktadır. Hatta bunun ötesinde hadîsleri anlama ve yorumlama imkanı veren bir metodoloji de takdim etmiştir. Bu metodolojide en önemli unsur, hadîslerin sosyolojik gerçeklikler dikkate alınarak yorumlanmasıdır.
