In this study, adult education policies in higher education were emphasized within lifelong learning, and then the ideas about the policies for undergraduate education of non-traditional students who decided to returning to education at Süleyman Demirel University at 25 years of age or older were included. Descriptive survey model was used in this study. 472 valid data were collected from 17 colleges, 2 schools and 70 departments. Improvable higher education policies are classified as Enter, Attendance and Time Arrangements, Recognition of Prior Experience, Economic Support Policies and Education Support Services. In consequence of research, it has been found that issues such as the removal of attendance obligation, working adults' being legally leave from their workplaces, and provision of accommodation services suitable for external students are important particularly in terms of working adult students. Students who are not working or has low income ask for the development of financial support policies.

Bu çalışmada yaşam boyu öğrenme kapsamında yükseköğretimdeki yetişkinleri ilgilendiren eğitim politikaları üzerinde durulmuş, ardından Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi’nde 25 yaş ve üzerindeyken eğitim almaya karar vermiş geleneksel yaş dışındaki yetişkin öğrencilerin lisans eğitimine yönelik politikalar hakkındaki düşüncelerine yer verilmiştir. Çalışmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama modelinin kesitsel tasarım türü kullanılmış ve 25 yaş ve üzerindeyken örgün lisans eğitimine başlayan öğrencilerin katılım profilleri incelenerek betimsel analizler yapılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında 17 fakülteden, 2 yüksekokuldan ve 70 bölümden 472 geçerli veri toplanmıştır. Geliştirilebilir yükseköğretim politikaları; Giriş, Devam ve Zaman Düzenlemelerine İlişkin Politikalar, Deneyimlerin Kredilendirilmesine İlişkin Politikalar, Ekonomik Destek Politikaları ve Eğitim Destek Hizmetlerine İlişkin Politikalar olarak gruplandırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda yetişkinlere yönelik geliştirilebilir yükseköğretim politikalarında; devam zorunluluğunun kaldırılması, çalışanların işyerlerinden yasal olarak izinli sayılmaları ve il dışından gelen öğrenciler için uygun konaklama hizmetlerinin sunulması gibi konuların, özellikle çalışan yetişkin öğrenciler açısından önemli olduğu görülmüştür. Çalışmayan ve/veya gelir durumu düşük olan öğrenciler mali destek politikalarının geliştirilmesini istemişlerdir.
