Abstract (2. Language):
Social networking sites that enable the interaction between student-teacher and student-student in
and out of the classroom are used as a complementary tool to support learning. Social networking
sites, which are used only for educational purposes, have been developed and used because of the
risk of going to non-educational purposes in general purpose social networking sites. Edmodo is one
of the widespread software used in different age groups and teaching (education) levels. In this
study, an application was performed for the students of Electrical-Electronics engineering department
to present their opinions about the use of the Edmodo system. In the fall semester of 2016-2017, 34
students who take the course of "Introduction to Information Technology and Algorithms" and use the Edmodo system for the course-related activities throughout the semester constitute the study group
of the research. According to the results of the study carried out with the descriptive pattern method;
Students expressed a positive opinion that the use of the Edmodo system is easy, that the system has
a positive effect on learning, increasing motivation, following lesson activities, participating in practice
studies and accessing materials.

Sınıf içinde ve dışında öğrenci-öğretmen ve öğrenci-öğrenci arasındaki etkileşimi olanaklı hale getiren
sosyal ağ siteleri öğrenmeye destek olmak için tamamlayıcı bir araç olarak kullanılmaktadır. Genel
amaçlı sosyal ağ sitelerininde eğitim dışı amaçlara yönelme riskinden dolayı sadece eğitim amacıyla
kullanılan sosyal ağ siteleri geliştirilmiş ve kullanılmaya başlamıştır. Edmodo bu alanda farklı yaş
grupları ve öğretim düzeylerinde kullanılan yaygın yazılımlardan birisidir. Bu çalışma ile Elektrik-
Elektronik mühendisliği bölümü öğrencilerinin Edmodo sisteminin kullanımı ile ilgili görüşlerinin ortaya
konması amacıyla bir uygulama gerçekleştirilmiştir. 2016-2017 güz yarıyılında Bilgi Teknolojisi ve
Algoritmalara Giriş dersini alan ve dönem boyunca ders ile ilgili faaliyetlerde Edmodo sistemini
kullanan 34 öğrenci araştırmanın çalışma grubunu oluşturmaktadır. Açıklayıcı desen yöntemi ile
yürütülen çalışma sonuçlarına göre; öğrenciler Edmodo sisteminin kullanımının kolay olduğu, sistemin
öğrenmeye olumlu etki ederek motivasyonlarını arttığı, ders aktivitelerini takip etme, uygulama
çalışmalarına katılma ve materyallere ulaşma konusunda kolaylık sağladığı yönünde olumlu görüş
bildirmişlerdir.
