Abstract (2. Language):
Ağrı and its surrounding, in every period of the history, faced to face
continuosly the population movements because of it was on the roads of the trade and
invasion. The Turkish immigrations continued from the 11. century to the 14. century.
One of the important migration activities became in 1579, the other was also in 1877–
1878. In these years; the migration movement became from Caucasia to this district,
from this district to the interiors of Anatolia. These population movements, in the
historical period, formed the demographic structure of this region.

Ağrı ve çevresi tarihin her döneminde ticaret ve istila yolları üzerinde
bulunduğu için sürekli nüfus hareketlerine sahne olmuştur. Türk göçleri XI. yüzyıldan
XIV. yüzyıla kadar devam etmiştir. Bölgede ki önemli göç hareketlerinden biri
1579 tarihinde, diğeri ise 1877–1878 tarihlerinde meydana gelmiştir. Bu yıllarda;
Kafkasya'dan bölgeye bölgeden de Kafkasya'ya ve Anadolu içlerine göç hareketi
olmuştur. Tarihi süreç içerisinde bu nüfus hareketleri bölgenin demografik
yapısını şekillendirmiştir.
