In this research, proton-ligand complex equilibrium of L-histidine was investigated
using a modified glass-combined pH-electrode at 25.00±0.01

C, 0.1 M ionic medium
and under nitrogen atmosphere by potentiometric titration method. JHparameter should
be determined in addition to E

,s due to the fact the pH value at which the protonation
equilibrium of the carboxylate group of histidine is lower than 2. The calculation of
stoichiometric protonation constants of L-histidine has been carried out by BEST
computer programme using pH (corrected pH) determined by the use of E

parameters.
